課程概述 |
This semester we will focus on understanding of oceanic and continental lithospheres. We will read and discuss excerpts from textbooks, classic literature and recent journal articles of related topics. Critical reading is key to delineating the evolution and new development of our understanding of Earth’s lithosphere. |

課程目標 |
Our goal is to create a friendly atmosphere in which students will not only focus on studying important specific topics in geophysics, but also have opportunities to practice and hone English presentation skills. The ultimate goal is to train students to be able to think and discuss scientifically and naturally in English. |
|
課程要求 |
Anyone interested in geophysics and in honing English presentation skills are welcome to take this course. Students will regularly use English to write reading memos, and present assigned excerpts from textbooks and journal articles. Classroom participation and discussions are required in this course. |
